Skin & Co, 16 Oldgate, Morpeth — the clinic clients from Ashington travel to

A skin clinic and salon about seven miles from Ashington

Skin & Co is at 16 Oldgate in the centre of Morpeth, about about seven miles from Ashington — fifteen minutes in the car. Ashington is our single largest source of clients outside Morpeth itself, and most of them come for something they could not get locally — nurse-led injectables, medical-grade laser or a proper skin plan rather than a single facial.

Getting here from Ashington

The A197 runs directly between the two — out of Ashington past North Seaton, over the Wansbeck and into Morpeth from the east. It is a straight run and rarely slow outside the school-gate window. Coming from the Woodhorn or Hirst side, the A189 Spine Road to the A197 is often quicker than crossing town.

Oldgate runs west from the Market Place, so you are in the middle of town. Back Riggs, Dark Lane and the Sanderson Arcade car parks are all within a few minutes' walk, and Morpeth railway station on the East Coast Main Line is about ten minutes on foot. Buses from Newcastle, Ashington, Blyth and the coast stop in the town centre.

What Ashington clients book with us

Laser hair removal and Hydrafacial are the two biggest, followed by anti-wrinkle injections and skin courses for acne and pigmentation. A lot of Ashington clients started with one treatment and now book skin, hair and nails in the same visit.

One building, three floors of treatment

Skin & Co is a medical-led aesthetics clinic, a hair salon and a nail studio in the same building. That matters more than it sounds: a course of laser can sit alongside a colour appointment, a bride and her party can be prepared in one morning, and a skin plan does not mean driving between three different places in a fortnight.

Partnerships

We are Morpeth's official Hydrafacial provider, and we work on Lynton medical-grade laser, CryoPen cryotherapy and Dermalux LED. Those are the manufacturers' own platforms, with the training and consumables that come with them — not lookalike machines bought on price.

Consultation first

Every skin, laser and injectable plan starts with a consultation and a proper look at your skin, and treatment is only appropriate if that consultation says so. It is worth the journey from Ashington once to find out what your skin actually needs before you commit to a course of anything.
