Skin & Co, 16 Oldgate, Morpeth — the clinic clients from Newbiggin-by-the-Sea travel to

A skin clinic and salon about nine miles from Newbiggin-by-the-Sea

Skin & Co is at 16 Oldgate in the centre of Morpeth, about about nine miles from Newbiggin-by-the-Sea — eighteen minutes in the car. There is very little clinical skin work on the coast, so Newbiggin clients come inland for it — and sea air, wind and sun make skin barrier work and pigmentation treatment more relevant here than most places.

Getting here from Newbiggin-by-the-Sea

The B1334 to Ashington and then the A197 into Morpeth. Eighteen minutes, and a straightforward run outside the school gate window.

Oldgate runs west from the Market Place, so you are in the middle of town. Back Riggs, Dark Lane and the Sanderson Arcade car parks are all within a few minutes' walk, and Morpeth railway station on the East Coast Main Line is about ten minutes on foot. Buses from Newcastle, Ashington, Blyth and the coast stop in the town centre.

What Newbiggin-by-the-Sea clients book with us

Hydrafacial, pigmentation and rosacea courses, laser hair removal, and brows. Barrier repair comes up more often with coastal clients than anywhere else.

One building, three floors of treatment

Skin & Co is a medical-led aesthetics clinic, a hair salon and a nail studio in the same building. That matters more than it sounds: a course of laser can sit alongside a colour appointment, a bride and her party can be prepared in one morning, and a skin plan does not mean driving between three different places in a fortnight.

Partnerships

We are Morpeth's official Hydrafacial provider, and we work on Lynton medical-grade laser, CryoPen cryotherapy and Dermalux LED. Those are the manufacturers' own platforms, with the training and consumables that come with them — not lookalike machines bought on price.

Consultation first

Every skin, laser and injectable plan starts with a consultation and a proper look at your skin, and treatment is only appropriate if that consultation says so. It is worth the journey from Newbiggin-by-the-Sea once to find out what your skin actually needs before you commit to a course of anything.

Your questions

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take from Newbiggin?

Around eighteen minutes via Ashington on the A197.

Does sea air affect my skin?

Wind and salt strip the barrier, and reflected light off water increases UV exposure. Both show up as dryness, redness and pigmentation, and all three are treatable.

Can I book skin and hair in one visit?

Yes. Tell us when you book and we will sequence the appointments so you are not travelling twice.
