Weddings · MorpethBridal & Occasion Preparation in Morpeth, Northumberland
Skin, hair, brows, lashes and nails in one building, planned backwards from the date — so nothing is rushed and nothing is tried for the first time in the last fortnight.

The rule that matters
Nothing new in the four weeks before the wedding. Every treatment on your plan should have been done at least once, far enough out that you know how your skin reacts to it. Brides who book a first-ever facial the week before are the ones who end up with a reaction on the day, and it is entirely avoidable.
A working timeline
Six to twelve months out
Consultation and skin analysis. This is when a course of anything — microneedling, peels, laser hair removal, acne or pigmentation work — has time to run properly. Laser in particular needs six to eight sessions spaced weeks apart, so it cannot be started late.
Three to six months out
Run the courses. Trial your hair and settle the colour so there is time for a correction if you do not love it. Start regular Hydrafacials. If you are having injectables, this is the window — not later.
Six to eight weeks out
Final injectable appointment, if any, so there is time for it to settle and for a review. Hair colour appointment. Any last course sessions.
Two weeks out
Final Hydrafacial. Final colour or toner. Nothing invasive from here.
The last week
- Three to five days before — dermaplaning, brows shaped, lash lift or extensions
- Two days before — spray tan if you are having one
- The day before — nails, and a final blow dry
- The morning — hair and makeup
Bridal parties
We can take a party through the morning together at 16 Oldgate, with hair and nails running alongside each other. Book early — Saturdays in summer go a long way in advance — and tell us the number when you enquire so we can allocate the staff and the space.
Mother of the bride, guests and occasions
The same applies at a smaller scale for guests, proms, christenings and anniversaries. A Hydrafacial ten days before and brows three days before will do more than anything you can buy.
Prices
Hair and makeup are by Beauty by Beth; a 10% deposit secures the date. See the full price list.

Your questions
Frequently asked questions
How far in advance should I book?
Start the conversation six to twelve months out, particularly for a summer Saturday. Any course of treatment — laser, peels, microneedling — needs that long to run properly.
When should I have my final facial?
Around two weeks before. That leaves the skin at its best with time for anything lifted during extraction to settle completely.
Can my bridal party get ready with me?
Yes. We can run hair and nails alongside each other at 16 Oldgate on the morning. Tell us the numbers when you enquire so we can allocate staff.
Can I have injectables before my wedding?
If you choose to, the last appointment should be at least six to eight weeks before, so there is time for it to settle and for a review. Never in the final month.
