Beauty by Beth · Morpeth1:1 Hair Styling Workshops in Morpeth
Learn to do it yourself. One-to-one beginner workshops with Beth — a model provided, as many styles as the time allows, and a goodie bag to keep practising with.

What it is
A private, hands-on session with Beth at 16 Oldgate, pitched at whatever level you walk in at. No group, no watching from the back of a room — one hour or two, entirely on you, with a model provided so you are working on real hair rather than a training head.
Who books them
Mostly people who can never get their own hair to sit the way it does when someone else does it. Mums doing school-run plaits and party up-dos. People starting out in hair who want the fundamentals properly. And a fair few who book one as a gift.
What you learn
- Hair preparation — what to do before you touch a single pin
- Sectioning, properly
- Backcombing without wrecking the hair
- Creating volume that lasts past lunchtime
- Pinning techniques
- How to make a style hold all day
As many styles as the time allows, chosen around what you actually want to be able to do.
What you take away
A goodie bag with styling essentials — comb, pins, styling powder and other bits so you can keep practising at home — and a certificate of completion. To be straight about it: the certificate marks what you have learned, it is not an accredited qualification and it does not make you a qualified stylist.
One hour or two
An hour suits one or two styles and a grounding in the basics. Two hours is charged at the same hourly rate, but it lets you cover considerably more ground — including repeating a style until it holds, rather than watching it done once. For most people that is where it actually sticks.
Booking
50% of the cost is paid on booking and the balance on the day. Slots are limited because they take Beth out of the diary for the whole session, so they tend to go early. Message Beauty by Beth on Instagram or call the clinic on 01670 641601.

Your questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to bring a model?
No. A model is provided for you on the day, so you are practising on real hair.
Is it an accredited qualification?
No. You receive a certificate of completion marking what you have learned, but it is not an accredited qualification and does not make you a qualified stylist.
One hour or two?
An hour covers the basics and a style or two. Two hours is better value and lets you repeat a style until it holds, which is where it actually sticks.
What do I take home?
A goodie bag of styling essentials — comb, pins, styling powder and other useful bits — plus your certificate.
How do I book?
50% on booking, balance on the day. Message Beauty by Beth on Instagram or call the clinic on 01670 641601. Slots are limited.
