Lynton laser · MorpethMen's Laser Hair Removal in Morpeth, Northumberland
Back, chest, shoulders and the neckline — on a Lynton medical-grade system, run by an aesthetics nurse, in a private treatment room.

What men actually book
The back and shoulders, overwhelmingly. Then the chest and stomach, and the neckline — where daily shaving causes ingrown hairs and razor bumps that never fully clear. Beard-line work is about definition rather than removal, and we treat it conservatively.
Coarse hair responds well
Male body hair is typically thicker and darker than female body hair, which means it absorbs the laser energy efficiently. That works in your favour: the response per session is generally strong. It also means higher settings and a slightly sharper sensation, which the built-in cooling handles.
Ingrown hairs and razor bumps
Pseudofolliculitis barbae — the recurrent bumps along the neckline from shaving — is one of the clearest wins. Removing the hair removes the cause. For men who have been fighting it for years with different razors and creams, this is usually the thing that finally ends it.
The course
- Six to eight sessions for the body, six to eight weeks apart
- A free patch test at least twenty-four hours before the first session
- Shave the area the day before — do not wax or pluck
- No sunbeds, and SPF on anything exposed
Privacy
Treatment is in a private room with the door closed and no one passing through. If that is a factor in whether you book, it should not be.
What it costs
Back and chest are priced individually and courses of six are discounted. The full price list is on the treatments page; booking a course is materially cheaper than paying per session.

Your questions
Frequently asked questions
How many sessions will I need?
Six to eight for body areas, spaced six to eight weeks apart. Coarse dark hair responds strongly, so the reduction is usually visible from the third session.
Will it stop ingrown hairs on my neck?
Usually, yes. Removing the hair removes the cause of the bumps, and it is one of the most reliable results we see in men.
Does it hurt?
A hot flick against the skin. The handpiece has integrated cooling and the settings used on coarse hair are higher, so it is sharper than on fine hair but short-lived.
Is the treatment private?
Yes. All laser is carried out in a private treatment room with the door closed.
