The Hydrafacial technology applied to the scalp — deep cleansing, exfoliation and nourishment for a scalp that is flaky, congested, oily or simply neglected.

Hydrafacial treatment room at Skin & Co Morpeth

The scalp is skin

It is treated as though it were not. Product residue, sebum, dead cells and pollution build up around the follicle in exactly the way they build up in a pore on the face, and no amount of shampoo clears that properly. A congested scalp is itchy, flaky, oily at the root within a day of washing, and an unhelpful environment for hair.

What the treatment does

  • Cleanses and exfoliates the scalp surface
  • Clears build-up around the follicle with vortex extraction
  • Delivers a nourishing serum directly to the scalp
  • Finishes with a scalp massage

Who it is for

Flaking and itching, oily roots, product build-up, dry or tight scalps, and anyone who wants to look after the skin their hair grows out of. It sits particularly well alongside colour appointments — the scalp gets a great deal of chemistry over a year.

As part of the salon

Skin & Co is Morpeth's official Hydrafacial provider, and the scalp protocol runs on the same platform. Because we are a hair salon as well as a skin clinic, we can sequence it with a cut or colour in one visit rather than sending you elsewhere.

How often

Monthly for an actively congested or flaking scalp; quarterly as maintenance. You will feel the difference the same day — the usual reaction is that the scalp feels lighter and hair holds volume for longer between washes.

Prices

Can be sequenced with a cut or colour appointment in the same visit. See the full price list.

  • HydraScalp® Consultation£20
  • HydraScalp® with Keravive™ — Full Scalp£250
  • HydraScalp® with Keravive™ — Partial Scalp£180
  • Full Scalp Cleanse (maintenance)£150
  • Partial Scalp Cleanse (maintenance)£95

Your questions

Frequently asked questions

Will it help with hair growth?

It creates a healthier environment at the follicle by clearing congestion, but it is a scalp health treatment rather than a hair loss treatment and we would not claim otherwise.

Can I have it with a colour appointment?

Yes — we are a hair salon as well as a skin clinic, so the two can be sequenced in one visit. Tell us when you book so we can allow the time.

How often should I have it?

Monthly if your scalp is actively flaking or congested; every three months as maintenance.

Does it make hair greasy?

The opposite. It clears the build-up that makes roots go oily quickly, and most clients find they can go longer between washes.
