Hydrafacial treatment room at Skin & Co Morpeth

Why this one

Most men who come to us have never had a facial and are not looking to start a routine. Hydrafacial suits that: it cleanses, exfoliates, extracts and hydrates in one pass, the result is immediate, and there is no redness, peeling or recovery to plan around. You can have it at lunchtime and go back to a meeting.

What men's skin needs

Male skin is thicker, produces more sebum and has larger pores, so congestion around the nose, chin and forehead is common. Daily shaving adds irritation and ingrown hairs along the jaw and neck. The vortex extraction step clears the congestion properly — far more thoroughly than a cleanser can — and the hydration step calms the shaving irritation.

Thirty or sixty minutes

  • Thirty minutes — cleanse, exfoliate, extract, hydrate. The core treatment.
  • Sixty minutes — the same plus lymphatic drainage, a targeted booster and Dermalux LED.

If it is your first, thirty minutes tells you whether it is for you. If you have visible congestion or you want the maximum result before an event, take the hour.

Morpeth's official Hydrafacial provider

Skin & Co is the official Hydrafacial provider for Morpeth, which means genuine consumables, correct protocols and staff trained by the brand — not a generic hydradermabrasion machine sold under a similar-sounding name.

How often

Monthly keeps congestion under control. Every three months maintains the result. A single treatment before a wedding, a photograph or an event is entirely reasonable and a lot of men book exactly that.

Your questions

Frequently asked questions

Will my face be red afterwards?

No. Hydrafacial leaves no redness or peeling, which is why it is the treatment we recommend when someone needs to return to work or an event immediately.

Is it different from a facial for women?

The technology and steps are the same; the settings and boosters are adjusted for thicker, oilier skin and for shaving irritation along the jaw and neck.

How often should I have one?

Monthly to keep congestion controlled, or quarterly as maintenance. A single treatment before an event works perfectly well on its own.

Will it help with ingrown hairs?

It helps. Clearing the congestion and dead skin around the follicle reduces the trapping that causes them, though laser is the definitive answer if they are persistent.
