Deep cleanse · MorpethBack Facial in Morpeth, Northumberland
The one area nobody can treat properly at home — cleansed, exfoliated and extracted with the same technology we use on the face.

Why backs get congested
The skin across the back and shoulders has a high density of oil glands, spends the day under fabric, and cannot be reached to cleanse properly. Add sweat, sunscreen, hair conditioner running down in the shower and a gym kit, and congestion is the predictable outcome. It is extremely common and it has very little to do with hygiene.
What the treatment involves
- Deep cleansing and steam to soften the surface
- Exfoliation to clear dead skin from the follicle openings
- Vortex extraction of congestion and blackheads
- A calming, hydrating mask
- Dermalux LED where inflammation is active
Back Hydrafacial
The same Hydrafacial platform used on the face, adapted for the larger surface area. Cleanse, acid peel, vortex extraction and hydration in one sitting. It is the more thorough option and the one we recommend where there is visible congestion rather than simply dullness.
Back acne
If breakouts are active and inflamed rather than just congested, a single facial is not the answer. That is a course, usually combining extraction treatments with LED and the right homecare — and if it is severe we will say so and suggest you see your GP alongside what we do. We would rather give you a plan that works than sell you one facial.
Before an event
A back facial ten days before a wedding, a holiday or anything backless is the sensible timing. It leaves the skin clear and smooth with no redness beyond an hour or two, and it gives any lingering congestion time to settle.
Prices

Your questions
Frequently asked questions
Does it help with back acne?
Yes, but a course rather than a single treatment. We combine extraction with LED and homecare, and we will be honest if what you have needs a GP as well.
How long does it take?
Between forty-five and sixty minutes depending on which treatment and how much extraction is needed.
When should I book before an event?
Around ten days beforehand. That leaves the skin clear and smooth with time for any congestion lifted during extraction to settle fully.
Is it embarrassing?
Not to us — it is one of the most common things we treat, and it is caused by oil gland density and fabric, not by anything you are doing wrong.
